I discovered Blogging this summer. Interesting Concept. Writing is a way to sort out one's thoughts and feelings. Everyone seems to approach it so differently. We are truly uniquely and wonderfully made!

I hope to use my BLOG as a place to encourage others and to sort through my days. Life is so full right now! I am wearing many hats: Wife, Mother, Homeschool Teacher, Business Entrepuner.... Yet, even though I drop exhausted into the bed each night, it is a good tired from a good kind of busyness. I just so want to do it well and remember what is truly important.

We are still in the process of settling into our home even though we have been here almost a year. One of my sons and I finished painting the living room today and that feels so good! The taupe walls with the light sand colored trim are inviting. I have painted scripture above the doorways of the room. In the living room, I chose Micah 6:8 as a good reminder as we fellowship as a family and as we go out into the world.

My DH blessed me greatly tonight by gathering all the children and heading for the library. Time home alone! A true gift at this busy season. The children were all so excited and I know they will come home loaded with books and audio tapes. Our 2 year old loves the "If you give a Mouse a Muffin" books--wonder how many they will bring home.

One of my goals this summer as I reprioritize is to spend more time reading to the children. In the end, they are not going to care about the color of the living room walls but they will remember times snuggled up on the couch-laughing or crying over some favorite story. All the children--all 8 of them love our family read aloud sessions.

I promised I would use some of my time to work on school plans....
